You are heartily welcome to the faculty of Computing and Informatics established in 2019. The faculty was established in line with global ICT developments and the industrial demands of ICT talent experts to match the digital economy and the 21st century work place. I am tremendously grateful to the visionary faculty staff and university management that made her emergence a possibility, it's such an honor to serve as her pioneering dean.
The Faculty of Computing and Informatics is a product of relentlessness and optimism with high level commitment to make computing education a centre-piece for the 21st century. The faculty, in compliance to the university vision/mission, is strategically positioned to teach a broad range of computing courses to students, aggressively embark in cutting-edge computing research and collaborate closely with the industry for the purpose of proffering solutions to local, national and international problems using information technology as an enabler to societal digital transformation.

Presently, the Faculty offers academic programmes at the Bachelor, Master's and Ph.D. degrees in various specializations in Computer Science, Cyber Security Science and Information Systems. The design and delivery of these programmes are guided by educational research and best practices and are governed by values of inclusivity and access for the community we serve. Building on the University's brilliant foundation of linking "Town and Gown", the faculty provides unparalleled professional experiences and the on-the-job training that is vital to preparing today's students for tomorrow's world. Faculty members include top rated researchers and educators who are abreast with the rapid evolutions of information technology and bring decades of experience in computing.
With a degree from FCI, our graduates become indispensable contributors and thought leaders whose computing talents are hunted for by leading employers. The faculty's unique structure provides a synergy of computing and informatics affording students the opportunity of not only satisfying and exceeding the required academic standard set by the regulatory bodies but also equip them to be intellectually and resourcefully fit to emerge as solution providers.
Details of prescribed courses and other specific requirements for all programmes offered in the Faculty are contained in the the Faculty Handbook. It is intended to provide precise information to students, parents and everyone interested in the academic programmes of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics.
